CSC Edna G Work Hall and Wing Renovation

CSC Edna G Work Hall and Wing Renovation

Chadron, NE

Edna G. Work Hall was constructed in 1932 as the primary residence hall for women at Chadron State College. Edna Hall Wing was added in the early 1960’s. Due to its many years of use and age, and due to the changes in lifestyles and housing preferences, the College felt the complex was in need of significant renovation. BVH worked closely with the College to design a project that completely renovated the housing complex to provide new suite-style living units in the historic Hall portion of the building and renovating the traditional shared rooms of the Wing. The complex contains a new entry/elevator link to provide handicap access. The newly renovated facilities serve not only students but also accommodate summer conference programs and visiting faculty.
