UNL Student Athletic Life Complex

BVH was commissioned to provide architectural services for the renovation of the first floor of the UNL West Stadium into the Athletic Student Life Complex. This space services around 600 University student-athletes and demonstrates UNL’s commitment to providing academic support and life skills enhancements. The much needed additional space has accommodated the growing student-athlete population and provides a study environment and resources for all levels of academics.
The 30,000 square foot space includes an enrichment center, academic center, life skills center, compliance center and technology center. The centers consisting of offices, meeting, study and tutoring spaces all designed to enrich the life experiences of student-athletes while attending UNL.
The centers are also supported by the Training Table Buffet dining facility, which was expanded and renovated with improvements made to its kitchen plant, servery areas and a modest expansion. This also created additional dining spaces and flexibility to function as additional study hall space during non-dining hours.
Other improvements include: upgrading of the west main entry finishes, renovation of the restrooms and renovation of the building infrastructure.
