St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church

Located in a suburban neighborhood in a town outside of Cedar Rapids, this Catholic Parish chose BVH to Master Plan the needs for an expanding parish with many young families. Included in the plan are a 1000 seat sanctuary, a large gathering space, a chapel, support spaces, a new kitchen, recreational multi-use room, a youth room, and multiple religious education classrooms. Phase I included the new sanctuary with support space and renovation of the existing worship area for a social hall and classrooms. The Master Plan was developed using an intensive participatory process to include as many parishioners as possible, including special workshops for the children of the parish. The successful workshop resulted in fundraising that identified a $5.8M budget for Phase 1.
