Bahr Vermeer Haecker Architects (BVH) is looking for an experienced Preservation Architect – a specialist in the art and science of architecture with advanced training in historic preservation principles, theories, concepts, methods, and techniques. The candidate will be responsible for design and administration, management, review and oversight of historic preservation projects, including architectural condition assessments, historic structures reports and materials investigations for historic structures. This position will reside in our Lincoln, Nebraska office.

• Degree in architecture and/or graduate study in architectural preservation
• Minimum three years experience in historic preservation
• Ability to manage and perform historical research, conduct field investigations, analyze data, and prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates to support design and rehabilitation for historic structures preservation
• Ability to work effectively with clients
• Ability to communicate the role of historic structure preservation in the BVH mission verbally, graphically, and in writing
• Ability to write clear, concise, thorough and accurate architectural narratives based on research and evaluation of historic structures
• Must be proficient in standard software such as Microstation and/or AutoCAD; Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, be willing to travel, and accept flexible hours.
