BVH, in collaboration with another architecture firm, designed an addition to the YMCA facility to house a new ice skating facility to seat 500. The ice arena includes an Olympic sized sheet of ice, six locker rooms, and coaches' and referees' offices. Supporting spaces for the specialized mechanical and refrigeration equipment as well as ice resurfacing equipment are also included. Administrative office space, concessions, and restroom facilities round out the remainder of the 40,000 square foot arena. A large party room is available for celebrations. |
