State of the Art: Community Forum on Architecture and Design Innovation

Is architecture really art? How important is architectural design? What is meant by sustainability, and why is it so important to be "green?"

To consider these questions and others, State of the Art will join together distinguished architects from a variety of firms and philosophical perspectives for a look at major projects impacting our community. The forum will feature diverse viewpoints from two generations of architects: those who have been influential in shaping the last 75 years of the Omaha community, as well as those who will play a significant part in shaping the next 75 years of our city.

Gary Bowen, FAIA, RIBA, Principal in BVH will be part of this panel discussion. Moderated by Omaha Director of Planning Steve Jensen, the panel will also include architects from 4 other notable Omaha architectural firms.
